Dr. Jinsil Hwaryoung Seo Reappointed as Director of the Institute for Applied Creativity

The Soft Interaction Lab is pleased to announce that Dr. Jinsil Hwaryoung Seo has been reappointed as Director of the Institute for Applied Creativity (IAC) at Texas A&M University.
Dr. Seo's reappointment reflects her outstanding leadership and continued commitment to advancing interdisciplinary research, innovation, and creative collaboration across the arts, sciences, engineering, health, and emerging technologies. Under her direction, the Institute for Applied Creativity has expanded its role as a catalyst for transformative research, fostering partnerships that bridge academic disciplines and connect the university with industry and community collaborators.
As Director of the Soft Interaction Lab and Associate Dean for Research and Creative Works in the College of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts, Dr. Seo has led numerous initiatives that integrate immersive technologies, artificial intelligence, embodied interaction, and interactive design to address real-world challenges in education, healthcare, and creative practice. Her vision continues to inspire researchers and students to explore innovative approaches that combine artistic creativity with scientific discovery.
